George Strait and the Ace in the Hole Band on the ACM Awards in 2019! He had the huge pic of the Broken Spoke projected behind him as they played his new hit "Every Little Honky Tonk Bar"!

George Strait started playing at the Broken Spoke in the late 1970's and played til 1982. When James started booking him it was just the ACE IN THE HOLE Band. We were so fortunate that in 2019, George blessed us by putting the Broken Spoke on his album cover!

Brooks & Dunn were playing at the Frank Erwin Center here in Austin, but they wanted to play "in a real honky tonk" so after their show they headed over to the Broken Spoke!

Harry Connick Jr loved the Broken Spoke and came out many times while filming "Hope Floats". He was practicing his two-stepping and he brought out his beautiful wife, Jill Goodacre and his dad Harry Connick Sr. (former district attorney for the Parish of Orleans)

Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Joe Ely & James White all singing with Kimmie Rhodes! This was a very memorable night at the Spoke when Willie just walked in and sat down on stage and started pickin' with Kimmie.

Dwight Yoakam singing with the Geezinslaws in the 1990s! He was great to meet and loved the Broken Spoke.

Quentin Tarantino with Cowgirl Heidi (famous wheel roller) and James White. He came out for a movie wrap party for his movie Death Proof 2007. Actress Rosario Dawson & Director Robert Rodriguez were also out that night.

Vince Vaughn and Peter Billingsley have been to the Broken Spoke many times. Vince Vaughn is a close friend of Dwight Yoakam and loves Buck Owens music. They're always so friendly and right at home at this ole honky-tonk!

Clint Eastwood at the Broken Spoke circa 1993. He came out while he was filming Perfect World. He danced with a lot of girls and drank Lone Star beer!

The pop star known as Fergie (formerly of the Black Eyed Peas) came out with her husband Josh Duhamel during SXSW in 2014!

Willem Dafoe, the star of Spiderman & Platoon, came out to enjoy some good country music in 2007.

Terri White, Robert Duvall & James White 2014. Robert Duvall picked the Broken Spoke as a backdrop to his photo shoot with Cowboys & Indians Magazine. He had his movie wrap parties for his movies "Wild Horses" & "Secondhand Lions" at the Broken Spoke.

GW Bailey with the Derailers and James White. GW Bailey has been a regular visitor to the Broken Spoke for many years. He was in the hit tv series The Closer and was also in the Police Academy movies.

Ray Benson has been playing at the Broken Spoke with Asleep at the Wheel since the 1970s. This pic was taken the night that the Wheel backed up Willie Nelson for a private party.

Dale Watson and his Lone Stars have been playing at the Broken Spoke since the 1990's, steadily, at least once a month. They are one of our biggest drawing bands and we love it every time they play. Lone Star!

Pres. George W. Bush (at the time newly elected Governor of Texas) came out to the Spoke to celebrate his winning election in 1994. He played shuffleboard right there in the restaurant with TJ McFarland and posed with pics with whoever wanted one. He couldn't of been a nicer man and we are honored to have met him.

Ernest Tubb with James & Annetta's youngest daughter, Ginny (gen mgr of the Broken Spoke) in 1981. Ernest Tubb played at the Broken Spoke about twice a year and every time he would play he would sing Ginny a song cuz he loved that she was born "splat dab in the middle of Country Music Month" (October 15th) Ernest Tubb was the "Godfather of Country Music" and a Grand Ole Opry main stay with hits "Walking the Floor Over You" & "Waltz Across Texas".
